Concerns about Fall 2020 teaching at UNC-Chapel Hill

We, the undersigned instructors at UNC-Chapel Hill, including tenured and tenure-track faculty, fixed- term faculty, graduate teaching fellows, and teaching assistants, call on the UNC-Chapel Hill administration to ensure the following:

1. That no instructor will be required to teach in person and that no instructor will be required to disclose personal health concerns.

2. That all members of the UNC-CH community will be required to wear masks and practice physical distancing in classrooms and public settings.

3. That during the first weeks of classes UNC-CH will test all staff, students, and faculty on campus for the virus that causes COVID-19 and develop a rigorous plan that requires regular and ongoing testing.
